Your own tags
No fixed category list, tag a link however makes sense to you and filter the whole library by any tag you've used.
A Pocket alternative and bookmark manager: save links with a title, description, and your own tags, then filter by tag instead of scrolling a flat list. No browser extension required.
Why this exists
Pocket stopped working in mid-2025 and its saved data was deleted that October, leaving everyone who used it for a read-later list without a home for it. Browser bookmark bars aren't really a substitute either: nested folders with no tags or search turn into a graveyard of links you saved once and can never find again.
Bookmarks gives every saved link a title, a description, and your own free-form tags, then lets you filter by tag instead of digging through folders. Search works across title and description, and every card opens straight to the source with one click.
What you get
No fixed category list, tag a link however makes sense to you and filter the whole library by any tag you've used.
Find a saved link by title or description instead of scrolling a folder tree looking for it.
Add a short description so you remember why you saved something, not just what it was.
Open any link in a new tab straight from its card, or duplicate an entry to save a variant with different tags.
Questions
Both, really. It replaces the read-later use case Pocket served, and it also works better than a browser's built-in bookmarks bar once you have more than a couple dozen saved links, because of tags and search.
No extension required. Add a link's URL, title, and tags directly from the Bookmarks page in a few seconds.
Yes. Tags do what folders can't, a single link can carry more than one tag, and the tag filter shows every link with that tag regardless of when it was saved.
